Hopefully you all know that this IS suppose to be a crop! So, What is everyone working on BESIDES projects for the great challenges the ladies posted? I just got home from an AWESOME class with DOnna Downey. I had a blast and am SO glad that I went. We didnt come close to finishing the album we worked on, so I came straight home to continue working on it. This is why I love classes like this. I NEVER would have done anything like this class on my own. I learned SO much and plan to incorporate some things I learned into our upcoming kits and my future projects. Here are a couple of the pages I finished for my album today. Lots of paint and MESS!!!

OH MIGOODNESS I love LOVE LOVEEEEEEEEEEEe what you are doing with the album!!! I love donna's style! It is so great that you got participate in the class and get inspired!!!!

So what I am working on is a mothers day chipboard binder book that is going to be a combination of poetry and pictures. It is about half done...I have to add the text and pictures and then finishing embelishing. It is truning out pretty well so far.

The next 2 projects I am trying to get creative with my scrap supplies and alter some objects.....I am doing a mailbox and a large picture frame. Not sure exactly where it is going to take me but both of the objects were goign to get ready for a garage sale---so I am going to see if I can repurpose them to something I will want to keep. I am trying to diversify and mix it up a bit.

So THAT is what this newbie is up to Smile

happy scrapping

WOW! Amber! That looks amazing!! Just awesome!!

Have fun with what you're doing too Jenny!!

I did a page, ran to a track meet, came home, ate lunch, and just did another page. I'm uploading, and then I have to decide about dinner, and then I'll scrapbook some more . . . I hope!!

I worked all day (since 7:30 this morning) My scrappy plan is a layout for my bf's sister and then I'll frame it with a homemade frame (found on knockoff wood - website w/ plans to build ur own furniture). I really need to do some Mother's day cards too. off to scrap!

The girls and I played in our Inspiration Journals today and I loved every minute of it. Although now I realize how badly I need to organize the kids craft area. I'm wondering if I need to just combine my scrap room with their craft area. I've been on the fence about this for a while now.

BTW doing Donna's Inspiration Wednesday is a great way to learn some of those techniques for free. Wink

I know there are tons of free tutorials out there with this stuff, but it is still much differnet seeing it in person. I never would have even bought some of those products without playing with them today first.

This has inspired me to create another fabric album of my own. I think I am going to take inspiration from her inspiration journals and make my own. They would be super easy to make. I also love this fabric album, which I know isnt too bad to make. Someone on here taught me how to do it with their Decmeber Daily album Wink

oh, and Jennifer. My kids have a craft table and bins in my scrap room. It is really nice becuase we can all be in there together and I dont feel bad for scrapping when they are home Laughing Besides, they LOVE to use my scraps and cutters and things when I have them out.

I helped the girls make another page in their Inspiration Journals today. I still haven't decided what to do about their craft room. If I combine my scraproom with their craft room it would have to be upstairs and I would loose my favorite room in the house. I just don't know.

I never wanted to share a space with my girls. Our spaces just need to be separate. Hopefully that makes sense!! They have A LOT of stuff, but it's all in the basement. They have two tables to work on. My area is upstairs. They can use my stuff, but they have to put it back. This has always worked for us. Our basement is truly a BASEMENT . . . it's not finished, it's not pretty, but that works for us too. It's not the tidiest place in the house, so our girls having a creative space down there works!

Good luck with your decision. Those fabric journals are totally cute!!
